Yes. If it is gunnite or concrete you can. You may end up removing some of the paint in the process and it may need to be repainted. If it is vinyl, do not drain it to pressure wash it. I think the pressure washer might tear the vinyl and you should never drain a vinyl pool as it may collapse. If your vinyl pool is stained their are products out there that will remove the stains, same with concrete pools. I would try that first before draining and pressure washing a pool.

Hmmm we pressure washed our inground vinyl pool two years ago without a problem. They don't collapse because they are built on a framework of plywood and 2X4s and are reinforced with rebar-like metal rods. Ours was damaged during a HUGE flood and was absolutely disgusting afterward. We sumppumped and pressure washed the entire thing and didn't have a problem. The pool was nice and clean afterward too ( =

If you are doubting yourself, you cana sk at your local pool store. They ought to be able to give a professional opinion on whether or not it's a good idea. I also suppsoed it depends on the size/pressure of your pressure washer.

Good luck!
