YellowSprings, Ohio...We went down through there one day and I was so enthralled by the place. There were all kinds of shops along main street, bead shops and bags and hemp shops...they all had their doors open and hand made items in the windows. There was a band playing on a corner. It was very cozy feeling. It also includes one of the top three pot smoking colleges in the nation..lol

I wouldn't put the label "hippie" on anything, but I think I know what you're talking about.

If you mean towns full of open-minded young people who "smoke" and wish they were born in the 60's, then I'd say Madison, WI; Eugene, Portland, or Bend Oregon; Asheville, NC; Missoula, MT; Santa Cruz, CA, and many spots in Colorado (like Boulder, Fort Collins, even Denver), and even Phoenix and Seattle to a lesser extent.... If you mean towns full of actual old school 60's hippies... thats hard to find. They have learned how to hide pretty well. Obviously San Francisco, maybe Santa Fe, NM; Sedona, AZ; Bisbee, AZ and other secret spots where true counter culture hippies have hidden away from society (often up in small mountain or desert communities) BTW, ever make to a Grateful Dead or Phish show?
