A rabbit's size is mainly determined by it's genetics and how well it gets milked when it is a baby.

Getting a rabbit FAT is unhealthy for it and doesn't necessarily make it any larger. What makes a rabbit fat is giving it a diet with too much energy. However when you do that you also risk diaghrrea and the rabbit will molt and shed fur more often.

Large rabbits are normally created through selective breeding. For instance with my New Zealands, I do it by widening and lengthening the loin through selective breeding and by breeding rabbits with a wide hindquarter. Rabbits gain size and weight through muscle, not fat.

That's the reason when people say that they want to get their rabbit to lose weight I feel obliged to tell them that just because the rabbit weighs a lot doesn't mean it is unhealthy. It is unhealthy when you can grab a lot of loose fur. Fat on a rabbit normally accumulates directly under the hide and around the internal organs. Since the fat accumulates under the hide the looseness of the hide is a very good indicator of how fat the rabbit is.

Making a rabbit fat is unhealthy. Just like making a human fat.

I know this is a forum to ask any question, but why do you want to make your rabbit fat? If it is a pet, that would make it unhealthy and if you are going to eat it, why bother spending the money making it fat, use the money to buy yourself a big burger. Good luck.

Why do you want to make it fatter? Are you going to eat it? =( You should do it gradually, slowly increase the bunny's food. How old is it? If it's younger than 6 or 7 months give it alfalfa, if it's older than that give it timothy hay. You can also give it more fruits (apples, bananas, and oranges in small quantities) and vegetables (romaine lettuce, celery, parsley, etc...) if it's older than a year.
