I've read in chinese history that some kings keep alot of wives and concubine and even King Soloman of ancient Isreal would have thousands of concubine. What are they doing with so many women?

and the funny thing is many of these emperor and kings are old men, are they keeping these women to water his garden or what?

yes litterally water his flower garden etc. I think the men are busy fighting a war or building some anicent wonder of the world.

I think if you have 3000 wives, "satisfying" them is not to high on your list of priorities

Wives and concubines are the chosen female of the household of the King. They are there to support the wishes of the king and serve him for whatever is needed to within the palace. The King may not have slept with everyone but he can choose anyone to sleep with or have a child with to assure him that he will have someone to inherit his title as king. Most wives and concubines are taken from different warring tribe which is a much easier way building up a peaceful co-existence between tribes.

I highly doubt that all thousands of these women received sexual satisfaction, if any. It was probably tied more to social status, and the women probably agreed to it more for a nice place to live than any romantic reasons. Such was the reality of a few thousands years ago, I suppose.

He doesn't. That is why some of the men were made eunuchs. To guard these women. Pretty cruel I think.

I don't think he really cares about satisfying them, they probably have to satisfy him he is King after all.

i dont think so dat he wud be keeping sexual relationship with all of em. many of em must be royal servants. bt i wonder how they cud managed so many wives? managing 2 g/f i s so much headache for me!
