I don't think people are getting smarter. As this section gets better known more and more people take an interest in it. More interest results in more participation......and more participation improves with more quality posts.
I did not really start participating here until relatively recently. I may not be the brightest bear around but I far above a lot of folks who post on this section.

I vote for the or. It's worse, people are more insane and the ranting never ends. Rarely does a question that requires any thought get asked, both sides seem content to blame each other while the conflict drags on and our borders are still not secured. Three dollar a gallon and rising gasoline helps keep our minds off of any other issues. Our legislators laugh all the way to the bank from their board of director positions after they get out of politics, nothing has changed.

LOL!!!! You should be an investigative reporter! That's awesome you tracked that down. The first couple of answerers must be on the list of people that answered 11 months ago. The second answerer is right, you do deserve a pat on the back. And I think some people are starting to think rationally in this category, thats my opinion.

It might just be that people are tired of talking about it..... and comparatively - there really isn't that much difference in response. So we have been at War for 6 yrs now, I think it is a dead horse so it might be time to pull the saddle off and consider other reasons that we are at war.

I think people are beginning to realise there is a world beyond the bit between New York and LA. If we have Iraq to thank for that then at least some good has come out if it.

can't really say if they've gotten smarter. but based on the response from the second link, it looks more like they just don't care, so far that some even joke around.
