I never erased ANY songs off my ipod. But this morning ALL of my songs were missing!! And it keeps saying i have to register my ipod. I did that TWICE. But everytime i open itunes it says i have to register it. I keep trying to put songs on from my library, but they wont go on it. I dont know what to do!!
Ive had my ipod for about a year. Its a 2 two GB ipod.
What could be wrong with it?

Try restoring it to factory setting and try register it again. :)

It has nothing to do with you regestering it..its not like they have a "ipod" signal and shuts it down! (that would suck if they did!) lol! I think it is having a glitch..I have a nano and exactly three months that I bought it..it was "jumping" from one song to the next and "wigging" out! I took it back and the one I have now is just now acting up (year later) when I push the "top" of the circle to go back I have to click on it a few times for it to back up...oh and on Itunes it will always say you have to register it...even though it is..so stop registering it! that has nothing to do with missing music..put the songs back on and see if it does it again if it does take it back or if you can't call the company usually they will help you out!

Have you tried resetting your iPod? If you don't have your manual anymore go to the iTunes website and find out how to reset the iPod.

you have had a limited or trial version of iTunes and need to re-install it or reregister (your library is saved on your comp, so that should be safe)

Their might be something wrong with its HDD. I would talk to Apple about this.
