My female beta has tons of bubbles but my male beta hardly has any. i'm wondering if he'd use the females bubble nest if i put them together? Or is that a sign that the male isn't ready to breed? My female has all the signs of breeding...fat, (there seem to be eggs. she's light in color so u can kinda c her insides.) eats like a pig, very active, and has a white dot underneath. My male hasn't eaten anything except blood worms since i got him a few days ago. Should i leave them apart a bit longer? He's very active and all...just doesn't eat. The one i had before would take up to three pellets per feeding!!! i guess i'm just worried. He also doesn't eat that smaller flack food. Please reply as soon as possible

It would be better if he'd build one of his own. Both sexes can be pretty aggressive, and id a male's ready to spawn, he'll build a nest. If he doesn't a female may pick on him to the point of killing him.

Since you just got him, he may be still getting used to his new environment. If you keep him at a warm enough temperature and give him good food, the presence of a female that he can see should get him building his own nest. Till then, I'd keep them apart physically, but close enough that they can see each other.

The male makes the bubble nest, even if all nalone.(not the female) It's their sexual behavior.

in the event that they tutor activity in mating no longer basically do they make the bubble nest however the female has those darkish lines on the component of her abdomen. it relatively is commonly a demonstration. good success in case you attempt to reproduce them, possibly you will no longer fail like I did.
