Okay, well I'm 12 years old and I'm savin' up for a pretty expensive drum kit. Summer is coming up and I think that will be a good opportunity for me to make some money. I just can't think of a good idea though. How can I make some cash?

Mow lawns if your parents own a lawnmower. I'm always looking for a student to help me do yardwork, pull weeds,
plant flowers,cleanup deck furniture,start a flower or
vegetable garden. Any disabled people in your
neighborhood? Knock on their door and see if they need
anything done, inside or outside.

You are too young to work in most states. At your age, you are limited to jobs such as baby sitting, lawn mowing, etc. unless you have a skill. Can you design web sites? Do you have neighbors who need help learning how to use their computer?

Have you talked to your parents about it? You could try to work a deal with them to match whatever you make. If your grades are as good as they would like them to be, you could suggest that they pay you based on how much you improve your grades next year. If you have very good grades and you have friends or neighbors who need help, you could offer to tutor them.
