After installing sims 2, and launching the game, my screen freezes, then some image error pops up, don't recall exactly what it says, but after the game screen shuts down and it goes back to the desktop, the icons and everything looks all blurry and huge, hard to read etc...

the computer has to be shut down and i have to start all over again, and sometimes this happens several times an hour (really annoying!)

has anyone else experienced this?

is there a way to resolve this problem?

please be VERY detailed on your answers. Thanks ahead of time! i'm abour ready to give up!

It's been a while since I've played, but that could be caused by several things.

Does your computer meet the minimum specs for the game? If not, that could be part of the problem there. The game sucks up a lot of memory and is very hard on the graphics cards. You'll need to make sure your computer meets the game's specs at a minimum, but for the best, it should except the specs.

You could also have an issue with a firewall blocking the game. Check to make sure your firewall isn't up, if it is, disable it, then try to play the game again.

If these don't help, you should go to the sims2.com site, go into the BBS, and into tech support. From there, you can write what your problems are. Chances are, other's have had to deal with the same problem, and can answer your question better than I can. Good luck!
