How many pets can a person own? I have a dog that I own, a rat that refuses to leave(and I don't care), and a crow that has been in the house since I moved in(i think it thinks it's my pet because it always gets back into the house). I want to get a monkey(in some places monkeys are trained to help the elderly and disabled), a pig, and a skunk(I've seen people with skunks on a leash). Is there a limit to the number of pets someone can have?

It depends on where you live. Some cities have limits, some don't. In some states it's illegal to own 'wild' animals such as skunks. In California -- believe it or not -- GERBILS are illegal. (shakes head in disbelief) So you need to know the specific laws where you live.

The other limiting factor is YOU. How much space do you have? Do you have enough TIME to properly care for many animals? Can you AFFORD the vet care??? Can you even FIND a vet that will treat monkeys or skunks? These are much more important questions to ask yourself.
