easy..

# Click Start, then open the Control Panel.
# Click Performance and Maintenance, and then click System.
# Click the Advanced tab.
# Under Performance, click Settings.
# Click the Advanced tab.
# Under Virtual memory, click Change.
# Under Drive [Volume Label], click the drive that contains the paging file (virtual memory) settings that you want to change. In almost every case, this will be your C: drive.
# Click to select the "System managed size" option, then click Set.
# Click OK three times and restart your computer.

If you have to ask, DON'T DO IT. Let Windows manage your virtual memory and you wont run into trouble like increasing the virtual memory in sets of 128 MB's through Control Panel. If you need more memory, buy some(make sure it's the right kind, find out over the Internet, or store), and play it safe.

All of the above answers are correct, its easy to change it, but if you have to ask. DONT. vmemory is SLOW, its using your hd. MUCH better to buy ramm or to maximize your use of what you have. Turn off unneeded items in start up. Uninstall Redflags like downloaded screensavers, im clients, AOell, limewire/bearsare and their ilk. Right click my comp, properties/advanced/performance and uncheck anythng that says fade, slide or animate.
