i reset it for the corect time and date, an hour later it will have a new time, month and year. any ideas?

Most likely your CMOS battery on the motherboard id dying.
or
You PC is connected to a remote time server, every few hrs, it changes the time to match the remote server

It might be because you haven't updated the daylight savings time issue back in March 2007. Check the Windows update from your Start menu and have it check your system.

CMOS battery might be dying. But you should run a full antivirus scan to make sure it isn't the result of malware.

After you originally changed the date, you should click on "apply". It sounds like you clicked on "okay".

Virus. Try using safety.live.com or try reverting your computer back to a state that you know it didn't do that. (Under system tools in accessories - System Restore.)

you need to do your time update.

Whatever OS your using, you need to update them to get the correct time.

But before that, check if your clock is set in a different time zone.
