2006 Toyota Tacoma 4x4: Didn't really care about making a statement, but in the year I've had it, I've found I like the statement it makes. Just big enough to say "Out of my way" (more like actually be seen by other drivers), but still low-profile enough to go past a state trooper at 80 mph without a second glance.

1999 Suzuki DR650SE: I know for sure it doesn't make a statement, because, like any motorcycle, nobody ever sees it!

I drive a piece of crap, that sputters down the road, leaks oil, has a broken rear view mirror, several springs poking out of the seat, about 2" of goo on the steering wheel and dashboard, radio doesn't work, speedometer doesn't work, blinkers don't work. It says that I'm dirt poor. I don't think that's the statement I want to project to everyone, but that's what it does, and I don't care.

2004 Toyota Corolla S it's dark blue, I bought it brand new all by myself, and it's cute and zippy and gets me where I want to go and that's all I care about.
And to be honest, not intending to be too rude, why the hell would I (or anyone pretty much) give a sh*t about what image I project to other people on the road based on the car I drive? I couldn't care less.
It seems so superficial if someone were to judge you on what you drive, who cares?

A really ugly 2001 Pontaic Aztek. I bought it because I had my other car totaled that day. Was pissed wanted something quick. I now love this car, it is fully loaded and was cheap too. No I really do not that cheap and ugly is what I was going for as a statement about myself when I bought it.

A Honda Odyssey Mini-van.

I guess I don't really mind what it projects about me, since it's a life I dreamed of for a long time. And I really do love my minivan. The people who engineered it really got inside the head of carpooling mothers.

I drive a bright green 02 pontiac sunfire. I love it, it fits me perfectly and I NEVER see anyone else with one the same color. I don't really care about the image it projects, I just like it.

I have an old 1997 Dodge Intrepid. It does not project the image I want because it is an old car. When it was new it was nice looking.
