Great looking and handling, holds 4 adults, can't say much more positive about it. Bad, high price, worst motor on the market, costs more and performs worse then a Mazdaspeed 6 or 3. If you want a true 2-door sportscar you'll won't find one at Mazda, though they have those 2 4-door Speed cars that are sweet as I mentioned. The RX-8 is one of those cars where you can just dream about it having a real engine while enjoying its Nissan Altima 2.5S like power.

In short i would say no. But this is why. The RX-7 was an amazing car tuned perfectly with everything in almost perfect synchronization but they were very expensive and still are to buy a used one pretty expensive. So Mazda decided to make money by making a more affordable car that was similar to the RX-7 since the RX-7 had so many fans. They rushed the production so now the car is not very reliable. They brought back the Wankel Rotary engine but didn't tune it so great so if you want the engine to last any time at all you will need to let it idle for about 15 minutes before each time you drive it. There are just a lot of bugs in the RX-8's and i being a big fan of these cars would say there are not a good buy. http://www.lemonlawclaims.com/Consumer%20Reports%20least_reliable_cars.htm

The Mazda RX 8 is much better than good. But keep in mind that it has a Rotary engine which is also great. Lots of spunk but terrible fuel economy. And if you need service on a rotary engine Mazda you are limited to the Mazda Dealership! Any time that you don't have options for repair watch out !!!!$$$$$$ But, if I could afford a new one I'd get it. I'd make sure to trade out of it well before the warranty is over. Also, the rotary engine runs only on high priced high octane!

OMG ROTARY ENGINE ARE GREAT ! !
Puerto Rico has the most faster rotary engines on the world 7.6 1/4 mile just with two rotors 1.3Litters jajaja what American car can to that?? NO ONE you need a v8 with 6.1 litters to do what? a year in 1/4 mile? fuel economy with a v8 cool but only if you turn off 4 cyls :D those American motors are heavy, like mustangs, they are about 4k pounds total weight vs a 3k pounds rx8 and don't get fool, rotary engine revs up to 12,000 RPM STOCK ! ! woooo
for every single turn of the crankshaft of piston engine you get 3 full turns of a rotary engine need more? rotary are the most powerfull engine with less displacement 1.3Litters MAZDA RULES ! !

we've an 07 RX8, and there is sufficient room for the two one in all our carseats in the decrease back. even however i will't supply you any precise figures (which probable would not help plenty besides) there is sufficient room for 2 totally grown adults to take a seat conveniently in the decrease back, or 2 motor vehicle seats, with out any hardship. besides, the a million/2 doorways used to get admission to the decrease back seats makes putting in and removing the motor vehicle seats plenty extra straightforward than our final coupe (a 'ninety 5 mazda 626 2-door). through 0.5-doorways, you do no longer could desire to issue sliding the front seats up just to get to the decrease back, that's a real time- and exertions-relish, quite with teenagers.

Yes, its great.
Aftermarket, sky's the limit.. just be careful unless you want to void the warranty...

Rotary engines are smooth and reliable with constant maintenance. They have a high fuel cost.

yes, but I herd that there is a problem with it starting. When you take it out and park, I herd you got to rev it up once you park to burn all the gas out of the engine. If you dont it will sound like it is flooded out when you start it. My uncle is a mechanic for Mazda and he said that the starting problem is true but besides that it is a great car.
