From reading here for months now, here's my guess.
Women expect men to change after the wedding.
Men expect women to not change after the wedding.
Neither of these things ever happen, so divorce.

I agree with what Javelin said, totally. I also think it's that people forget to pay attention and stop wooing eachother. Thoughtfulness, courtesy and romance shouldn't stop with the wedding. And money is like the #! cause of divorce in this country, that's why it's so important to have that money conversation BEFORE you get married. Make sure you agree or can at least compromise on what money you have, together and indivisually, how to spend it, how to save it and how to get it. And yes, ridiculous expectations, I totally agree. Marriage is so much more than the wedding day--it's day to day, it's annoying, it's frustrating, it's boring sometimes, it's hard work, but it CAN be worth it. If two people are willing to communicate effectively, compromise and work at it, I believe marriage can work. Just get over the expectations and be honest with yourself and your partner.

No, actually more marriages fail from a lack of communication and emotional maturity than anything.
People just can't work out the small problems, let alone the larger ones.

Your right, money will cause divorce faster then anything, because if your mad about finiances there is no sex, you hate each other at this time
