Not necessarily. Sure, it's nice to look at a pretty face rather than an ugly one, but the server's attitude is everything. I think you have a great attitude--you realize that great service and personality are key. That, combined with your good looks, should earn you nice tips. Good luck!

My husband and I give tips based more so on personality than anything else. If the service is bad because the cook screwed it up it's not her/his fault! It's all about attitude to us. If the waitress makes a big mistake but admits it was her fault and apologizes and offers a timely solution then we actually will ask for her the next time we're there! As far as attractive waitresses....yes I think at least 75% of the population allow looks to increase or decrease the tip amount.
Either way... if you have a good personality AND looks, think what good tips you may get! Good luck!

You are absolutely correct, "giving great service" will almost always ensure that you get great tips.
As a waitress, your pleasant personality combined with great service is what counts most.

well i tip according to the service i get.it does not matter to me if they are good looking or not, what race or sex they are,i just want someone who cares about me and the people i am dining with who is polite and helpful and provides good service and does not ignore me.that person is tipped well, and if i come with several family members and get great service the person gets a great tip.

People do tip pretty people more, but not always consciously. Attractive people are naturally easier to be nice to. Besides, there's the chance that a pretty girl might flirt with you or give you her number, making for a bigger tip.

Sorry. Humans like looking at attractive people much more than they like looking at plain people, and they are prone to tip attractive people more generously than they would plain people.
If you give great service and are attractive, you'll do very nicely indeed.

I think that this is often the case, but it isn't "across the board". What I mean is that such is not the case EVERYWHERE, but it does happen.

No...A lot of people show more kindness to skinny better looking waitresses.
It's unfair...but so are many other things in this world.
