Rice yes- Was the star on a decade's worth of decent, if not championship, Red Sox teams.

Evans no- Did not start hitting until late in his career and even though he's also a pretty good fielder, not really dominant the way a Hall of Famer should be.

Dawson yes- A tremendous power hitter. Scared teams for nearly fifteen years and won an MVP on a last place team- Cubs- in 1987.

Parker no- Was not consistently great and did cocaine.

Mattingly no- While he had some tremendous season, he tailed off badly towards the end of his career.

Santo no- While he might have been the best of the Cubs after Banks, he played with so many hall of famers- Ernie Banks, Ferguson Jenkins, Billy Williams, and statistically did not put up great numbers

Hodges no- This is sacreligous in New York, but they are already a bunch of those Brooklyn Dodgers in the Hall- Robinson, Snider, Reese, Campanella- that Hodges was not quite as good as they were.

Blyleven yes- Maybe he did lose a lot of games, but he came thisclose to 300 wins- and not many will get that close in baseball in this era- plus he struck out over 3,000

Guidry no- Like Mattingly a lot of great seasons, but his longevity is not hall of fame caliber.

Gossage yes- A dominant reliver and a guy for almost ten years you did not want to see in the ninth inning.

Bert Blyleven - Yes - Might be the most deserving pitcher not in the Hall.
Ron Guidry - No - Just don't think he was Hall worthy.
Rich "Goose" Gossage - No - Just like Santo - he has become a public sideshow with his open crying about not being in.

Jim Rice - Hit .300 7 times - Yes
Dwight Evans - No. Hit .300 1 time.
Andre Dawson - Hit .300 4 times - Yes
Dave Parker - No.
Don Mattingly - Hurts my heart. Maybe coach some day.
Ron Santo - No.
Gil Hodges - No
Bert Blyleven - NO! He played for a 1,000 years. Junk!
Ron Guidry - No.
Rich Gossage - No. He has 168 less saves than Lee.
What a slap in the face.

Lee Smith - Prior to Hoffman surpassing him last year how is that the man with the most save in MLB history is not in the hall?

Rice and Dawson should go in on the same ballot. If not they don't go in at all.

To the guy that say no on Dawson but yes to Evans. Are you aware that Dawson's numbers are better than Evan's numbers across the board?

The only that belong in the HOF out of all of those are

Jim Rice, Gil Hodges, Ron Santo, and Goose Gossage

The others are great, not Hall of Fame worthy

Dawson, Santo, Blyleven and Gossage belong in the hall. Dawson would have hit 500 HR if his knees hadn't gotten ruined by playing on that crappy turf in Montreal. He was the quintesstial 5 tool player. What a gun he had for an arm.
Santo would have been in a long time ago if he had played for the Yankees instead of the crappy Cubs.
blyleven too, if he had played for some good teams.
And Gossage was as intimidating of a closer as I've ever seen.
