3 'waves' of migrations can be traced to asian ancestry, most recently by DNA tracings. A fourth 'wave' can be traced to stone age europeans....the descendants of the modern day Ojibwe indians.

A genetic testing of today's Native Americans indicate a DNA connection with Asians. The most popular reason for this is the fact that Asians migrated across the Bering Sea because sea levels were so low due to the huge amount of ice present. Then they migrated all over the Americas. Some people also doubt this because they had populated such a vast area of land so quickly. There are many theories proposed concerning this so take your pick of what side you believe the most in.

Yes, the Siberian or Bering land bridge occurred approximately 25,000 years ago and provided a route for human and animal migration into North American from Asia. These were the first humans in the western hemisphere and would be ancestors to American Indians.

Yes, this is well established. The largest number of ancestors of north american native peoples crossed over into north america during the last ice age when what is now the Bering Strait was dry land. The general pre-history of the Americas is quite complex however and getting more so with every new discovery.

It is widely believed that ancient ancestors of Native Americans walked from China/Russia across the Bering Straight through Alaska and Canada and down to what is now the U.S. So, yeah, if you go back thousands of years, American Indians were at one time probably Asian.

According to their oral tradition, they originated in North America and did not migrate from somewhere else. Scientists from several different disciplines support theories of migration from Asia to the Americas, but they disagree over when, how or why the first humans came to the Americas.

They are both of the Mongoloid race.
The theory is is that human life began in Africa, then spread upward and outward through Europe and Asia, then to North America. So really, we're all Africans, we've just evolved to meet the demands of the environment that we migrated to.
