I tried moving one computer into another case and found that it just wouldn't work so I tried to put it back into its original case and I can't remember where the Front Panel (eg. power switch, led lights etc.) plug in. I don't know where to find what model the motherboard is but it is fairly old and the front panel connections are all seperate unlike in some other computers where it is all in one. If it helps, its a computer manufactured by Colossus and it has an AMD Processor. PLEASE HELP

The ones to worry about are the ones that come out of the power supply - to the front panel switch - they carry 230 Volts - shocking! They are usually well insulated when they clip on the switch and probably thicker than the other cables. The cables are thick from the PSU (power supply unit) to the motherboard - just plug those in. The rest have 12 volts on for drive motors or 5 volts for the rest. Most will plug in - and they usually only plug one way. With power on and the 230V insulated - just plug it on a LED if it lights up - it the right way around! If your on LED flashes when your HDD LED should be flashing - you got them the wrong way around. A test meter helps - get one from http://www.Maplin.co.uk I got one for £2.99 - but not long ago they were selling them 2 for £5.99! They are OK - they do the job! No sound on continuity though. There can't be much else on the front panel except the drives.

if your, feeling lucky...

on most boards they're actual board in really small print, next to the connections they will be labeled pwr, reset, spkr...etc. you might need a magnifying glass to see'em...

as for the leads, if they aren't labeled... you can fallow them back to where ever they go to determine what they are....speaker (self explanitory), hdd (this is just for an LED light so it's not really important) pwr and reset even if you flip flop these two it will just change which buttom does what...

at the end of the day, you can always contact the mfg and get the exact match or you could play trial and error for a few hours...
