Does this have any meaning to you, being able to do those two things?

Wow, there's nothing better than kicking off your stupid shoes and just feeling the sand or grass between your toes. It makes me feel so free, it also makes me wish that I never had to put another pair of shoes on my feet as long as I live (I'm not real hip on wearing shoes, can you tell??? I am always in either flip flops or cowboy boots-no socks, maybe it's the socks I have the issue with.....Things that make you go hmmm). I've done this since I was a child so I suppose it takes me right back to that point in my life, the point where you have no concept of what other people may be thinking about you, you have no expectations to live up to, you do what makes you feel good and walking barefoot in the sand or grass feels really good.

Going barefoot is wonderful, and it makes me feel in touch with nature and the Earth mother. I don't really think of it every moment but then I'm not that much of a religious/spiritual person in everyday life.. however I once went shod in a very old cemetary, and it felt terribly wrong, I felt like I was cursing as I crushed the vegetation without feeling it rather than stepping on it gently! And in old buildings and similar places it feels very special too, if I feel the worn stones of a Medieval church or castle it feels special too. But not every grassy lawn or sand, I guess as a full-time barefooter it's a bit too common to be aware of this feeling of freedom and 'connectiveness' all the time.

Yes it does, i find it quite relaxing and sensual to walk barefoot on a lush green lawn, especially in the early hours of the morning.

Yea, I love walking barefoot in grass, the feeling of the individual blades against the sole of your foot is so sensitive and almost sensual. I don't particularly like the feeling of sand though, I don't know why, but the feeling of sand grains between my toes is awful.
And yea, even though I don't like the feeling, I'd rather be able to feel it than never know what that feels like.

I wouldnt walk barefoot in grass. you cant see what bugs are below. Sand is horriblenas it gets caught between your ft and feels terrible. The airborne dirt and mud doesnt sound too undesirable as long at there is not any bugs in there, some human beings bypass to spas and pay to bathe in airborne dirt and mud so walking in it cant be that undesirable.

It's apparently good for the body to walk bare foot on dew covered grass first thing in the morning.

most definitly, its much more relaxing and comfortable than wearing shoes.
the cool lush grass feels so nice under bare soles, especially on a hot day. also for the more childish among us nice thick cool mud feels wonderful between bare toes especially on that hot summer day mmmmmmmm lol

Yes...yes it does.

I love walking around with no shoes on.

Except I just nipped over the shop for some milk and squished a snail. With my bare foot... EEK!

Not to me. You obviously have never cut your foot on something in the sand and as for the lush green lawns, i`m not likely to since all i see everywhere is dog poo and rubbish left behind on the beaches. So, no.It means nothing to me.
