In all honesty to history...there was never a trial, so there was never a conviction. There can be no true clear answer.

The best way to actually answer this is;

According to the Warren Report, it's conclusion is that there was a single gunman. The Report blames Lee Harvey Oswald.

This however does not carry much weight in the justice system just in popular opinion.

Yes, he was the only one that fired the shots. Many do not believe that he could accomplish that many shots in such a short time. But it is certainly possible. There are marksman today that can shoot a tossed aspirin out of the air! Oswald was a patsy recruited by the mob to kill Kennedy. Why? Because Kennedy appointed his brother, Robert as attorney general and under Robert successful prosecution of organinzed crime increased by 500%! He was killing them. So why didn't they kill Robert? Because they figured Jack would be so pissed off that he would appoint someone twice as successful. Jack Ruby who had known connections to the mob took out Oswald to eliminate any tracing back to the mob. It is well documented that the mob openly celebrated Kennedy's death

maybe not as there are several theories on how many guns were fired, how many directions the president was hit and how many bullets entered his body. lee harvey oswald was also killed before he can get a trial so it's hard to draw a conclusion.

"Lone"...No. I don't even think he had anything to do with it except for being a fall guy for someone.
How can someone pull off 3 rounds in a bolt action rifle, run downstairs, cross the street, go to the cafeteria, get a sandwich from the vending machine, eat nearly half of it, and not be out of breath or sweating?
