My only neice is graduating this year and I hope the best for her so I my wife and are giving her $5000 to cover her dorm cost for 4 years. Won't cover the entire cost, but it is a hella of a start!

depends, obviously you want to give her something and i say the minimum being 100 and the max 500. Also depends on if she has money or not, if she is planning on going to collage probably more so she can get an OK start with books and such
