My doctor recommend that I eat 6 small meals a day. That way you never get hungry cause that can cause you to fill sick. Try some saltine crackers with some gingerale. Just never let your stomach get completely empty. You might try Preggy Pops, they are a hard candy made for nausea that you can get at Motherhood Maternity or online. Just hang in there!!

This happened to me at 5 weeks and even though I did not think I was hungry most times, I found that once I ate I felt much better. I realize that as my body and hormones are changing, my normal hunger pangs feel more like queasiness or nausea.. So, if you try eating something light and healthy and drinking water, it may help the feeling pass.

Congratulations and Good Luck!

i had the same thing (and am still going through it though not as bad anymore). yes, you should definitely try to eat something. perhaps try eating some saltines or any other bland cracker or cookie. the nausea is worse when your stomach is empty. i know, it's really hard to think about food when you feel so sick. also try drinking some peppermint or ginger tea. make sure it's organic and there's nothing else in the tea but ginger or peppermint. this also helps settle it a little. good luck and i hope you feel better!

I felt sick all the way up until 6 months. But...I felt better if I kept food in my tummy. (Not at first, I had for FORCE myself to eat.) Crackers didn't always work for me. I ate a lot of bread. I wasn't always hungry either, but the second that my stomach started feeling hungry, I already felt sick. So it's best to keep food in you BEFORE you get hungry when dealing with queasiness. Hope you feel better!

That's when I started my morning sickness too. Make sure you eat small snacks throughout the day. Hunger and being full with cause nausea, well it did for me. I would keep popsicles always on hand, lots of cold icy things. Ginger ale, carbonated water for when you throw up to settle the stomach. Carbohydrates like crackers to eat in the morning to soak up the acidity in your stomach. You just have to ride it out, sorry hun. I am just passed 10 weeks now, and the morning sickness is just starting to lighten up.
*Everyone who has posted so far has had great suggestions, and I have tried all of these too. They do tend to help, you just have to figure out what helps your body through trial and error.

Crackers....also instead of eating 3 xs a day you may opt for smaller meals and shoot for 5xs a day. I know if I waited too long to eat it didn't matter. So every 2 -2 and half hours snack on fruit, cheese, crackers and the like; eat half a sandwich and save the other half for later in the day.

It may or may not make you feel better. Try something light. Nothing to greasy or heavy to start with. Also, salty things tend to ease nausea. I always sucked on hard candy or suckers. I also like to suck on pectin drops. Halls makes a drop called Fruit Breezers and the where wonderful.
The nausea will hopefully go away by week 13 or so. Good luck and congrats!

I have the same problem and find that if I eat something (no matter how little) about every 2 hours I can keep the worst of the nausea at bay. Also peppermints and lemonade are both supposed to help and they have for me! GOOD LUCK!

I would eat whatever you can that makes you feel better. Some people say high-carbohydrate foods which are bland (like crackers and mashed potatoes) help, other says ginger ale and ginger tea.
Being hungry can make nausea worse!!

Nauseousness is very common throughout your pregnancy. Some things that could help would be to eat frequently, and always keep crackers around. They are life savers! Congratulations!
