If you took 2 pregnancy tests and both were positive and you think there may be a mistake, go to the doctor and have a blood test done. They don't have mistakes.

The scientific answer is yes... but the odds are really, really low that you have one of the rare conditions that can cause this. You'd likely have other issues. Call and go see your regular clinic if you feel comfortable doing so.
Or--Go to a confidential/crisis-type clinic if you need too-- they can do really accurate blood tests to be sure, and can help you out if you need help. Take a bus to the next town or neighborhood if you are afraid somebody will know you, and you don't want anybody to know. Do not ignore it. Even if you miscarry and aren't pregant anymore soon (don't know how you feel about the situation) you could end up with a partial retention and bad infection-- so somebody in the medical community should keep an eye on you, even if nobody else knows about it. Don't risk your health.

I would say you are definitely pregnant, especially after 2 positive tests. To be 100% positive, you can get a blood test (beta HCG) from your doctor. Make sure you call your obstetrician to set up a prenatal exam so you can have a healthy pregnancy! Congratulations!!

Not likely. If you wanted to know if your pregnancy tests are accurate. The best thing to do is go to a local hospital clinic and ask for a blood test to make sure you're pregnant. I have had it happen where my tests said I was pregnant but I wasn't. The doctor who examined me told me that it was a phantom pregnancy.

CAN there be? Sure, there could be. If one is mistaken for a reason, whatever reason, the other would be, too. So would a 3rd. However, if you are taking a preg. test, it means ya might be, right? And if there is enough possibility to have you taking a test in the first place, probably not. They are probably correct, see a doctor and good luck. Best to you and baby.

No. Your body produces a certain hormone when it becomes pregnant. Most home tests are sensitive enough to pick trace amounts of it. That's what cause the positive reading. Hope this is good news for you. If you are worried talk to someone close to you. I know it can be overwhelming.
God bless.

No, the pregnancy hormone was detected. Sometimes you can get a negative when you are pregnant because it's too early to detect the hormone, but yours is definitely there. Congrats on being a mom and good luck with everything.

False positives are pretty rare.. You would usually only get one if you were taking a medication with hormone in it. Get a blood test done if you want to be 100 percent sure.

There are deffinantly false negatives (a hpt saying your not pregnant and you really are), but never false positive. The only way that would happen is if you were on some type of fertility drug. Congratulations Mom!
