Hypocrisy would be saying, "Never brag ... I am too fine a person to brag. No one should ever brag. Look at me."
Or, a hypocrite might say, "You should always be patient, and I want to see a change in your behavior this instant."
Subtle distinction, but that's how English works.

Yes, this could be hypocrisy...but in a psychological term this could also be called cognitive dissonance. Cognitive dissonance can be summed up as two thoughts feuding against each other. So you may say that I'm so glad I never brag about myself....when in fact you are!!! So you can fix this problem by either changing your cognition or keep with conflicting thoughts.
