Do you mean you have reasons like: The story is too violent for children or sensitive readers? Or it deals in a transformation that today would be recognized as psychotic and treatable (and thus makes fun of the mentally challenged?) Or it is not one of the author's better books?

For one thing, there are many perfectly good movie versions out there. Secondly, the novel is boring and slow.
