my doctor put me on the mini pill to try to regulate vaginal bleeding due to a c-section i had 3 months ago, i'm still having irregular bleeding. break through bleeding. I've notified him about this and he ensures that there's nothing wrong, that sometimes your body does that, that it's just my body trying to re-adjust back to normal. Should i get a second opinion?

Yes, birth control regulates your cycle. When did you start taking it though? It usually takes a month for your body to adjust to it. If you're worried about it, definitely see another doctor for a second opinion. Can't hurt, right?

I'm not familiar with the "mini pill", but the full blown birth control pills do regulate your periods.

Get a second opinion because your breakthrough bleeding should have stopped by now after three months. Your body should have adjusted to the pills by now.

It wont regulate for a while your body is still getting used to the new hormones and what not that are in the pills. It will prolly be on schedule with in a couple months or so. I had my baby 8 months ago and started my birth control like 7 weeks after he was born and I still dont get it on the same day each month,

It can take a few months for your body to get used to the pill.

I had one month of irregular bleeding, and from then on my cycle has been much more normal.

Good luck :)

First you need to make sure that you are taking the pill at the exact time every day and beginning it at the same time after your period.
