I was told by my Area Manager that my Supervisor and I ran an illegal parent meeting because we supposedly did not follow Robert's LAW. From what i've read, this is not in our company's bylaws, so how is it that we ran an illegal meeting?

Roberts rules are not a law. They are a set of guidelines for running a meeting. If it is not setforth in your company's bylaws or regulations, you've done nothing wrong by not following them.

Roberts Rule of Order is Parliamentary procedure. If you have a meeting, you can do anything you want.
