I mean, there is this common idea that Us citizen are a little too much nationalistic. Is that true?

Unfortunately most Americans cross the line between being patriotic and egocentric. Two American soldiers dying is always worse than a thousand Iraqis... see what I mean?

I am not aware of any such common idea. I am patriotic, rather than nationalistic. Patriotism is a good thing. You seem to be using nationalistic as a pejorative. One can never have too much patriotism.

I wish Americans were more nationalistic instead of bickering about social issues.
