My boyfriend and I were having this discussion over the weekend that guys and girls can't be friends. He said that one or the other have to have feelings for each other and I totally disagreed with that. Now I'm curious of what others think.

Yes. Typically girls have an easier time being friends with guys than guys do with girls. As long as both understand that anything other than friendship is off limits, no acceptions.

Totally untrue! I have a lot of guy friends and I don't have a crush on a single one...maybe one, but that's it. Guys and girls can be friends no problem, and personally, I think that it's easier to be friends with guys, just because you can do almost anything in front of them and they won't mind as much as girls would...and yesh, I am a girl. Point is, I don't think you have to like them as in crush, it's fine to be friends with anyone...even gay people!...if you dun mind them talking about how they thing other dudes are hot that is...and I have a lesbo friend, she's cool and I'm getting off the subject...oops...umm....yeah...bye! Lolz

Yeah they can the only time it does become any real problem is if they have had chemistry before like they have been intimate or they are an ex as then feelings will no doubt be involved somewhere but apart from that yeah they can be friends.
Most of my mates are guys and most of my fiances friends are girls. I only get iffy when its exs lol.

I have mixed emotions on it...one of my best friends is of the opposite sex and we both have significant others. Neither of us have an attraction to each other - OMG we think of each other as siblings. For the hell of it, we tried kissing once and got sick to our stomachs.

yes i think boys and girls can be friends but i have some boy matez who i have had feelings for in the past but then again i have other boy matez and i have nevered liked them in that kind of way

i have tons of guy friends that are just friends. sure i think about them being my boyfriend and every thing but i mean who wouldnt. but thats only what i think about. i have no romantic feelings for them. mabye guys might have feelings for girls but tell your boyfriend you have no romantic feelings for these other guys.
