just wondering....(like red eared sliders) do they make any kind of noise that we can hear or is it too low frequency for human ears or something?

I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure its all body language though. When out of the water they hiss when frightened. I don't think they make any communicating noises to each other.

No. There is no such thing. If there was, then 'telepaths' would be able to do it publicly, or in controlled experiments. But they don't. Telepathic communication is always done in secret, at home, at night, etc. But never in broad daylight with other people watching. This lack of reliable reproducibility has led scientists and other scholars to conclude that since there is no credible scientific evidence for the existence of telepathy at al, telepathy is a hoax.

Turtles use mostly visual clues to communicate, some tactile when courting, etc. and some scent clues.

Noise plays only a very small part as far as we can tell... but some researchers think that subsonics may be used some.

Generally, they don't communicate with each other. During mating season, the male will swim in front of the female, and try to rub his long front toenails against her face, but that's about it.

They don't really "school," but they all like the same sorts of things, which is why you'll see groups of them all going after the same food source or the same sunny spot.

Veeeery Sloooooowly.

But seriously, I've heard them hiss when they're frightened. My guess is they use body language and scent, and because they don't have high intelligence like, say, a dog, they don't have much to communicate to each other.
