It's gone bad and no it's not acceptable to me but I can't do anything about it

I'm a parent of two daughters.
I think everything is more accessible and immediate now.
That's the good and the bad. It can so easily be found, experienced, and used, that it becomes even more critical as a parent to communicate with your children about what is truly "good" and "decent" in the world.
In addition, I've filled up my daughters time with positive affirming team building experiences that allow them to grow and develop their self worth.
That to me, is all I can do. Small things that hopefully matter in a big world.

THe world is a great place. we live longer, healthier, more porductive lives. Our kids have more knowledge by FAR than our parents did. Technologies have brought us all closer.
Other than the plague that is political correctness, most things are better now than they have EVER been at any point in history. the world is better than acceptable- its amazing and wonderful.

It is turning out to be a very unsafe place for our children. When I worry about my kids going to school every morning for fear of another child having a mental break down and bringing a gun to school.....you know it's bad. When kids can not ride bikes and play in the neighborhood for fear of being stolen by a pervert.....you know it is a sad world.

The world is what it is. I used to think it was getting worse and worse, but when WASN'T the world going to hell? Every generation could make that claim.
