I am a retired Police Officer. I was on the Ca. Az. Mexico border. We were not a sanctuary city which is a violation of the U.S. Government Code. I turned over illegals to the Border Patrol every day. Sometimes the same one twice in the same day. It is an agricultural area surrounding where I was. The illegals walked by the farms heading North to the cities. I turned over illegals from China and Middle Eastern countries as well as just about every Central and South American country. Our borders are, as you say wide open. There have been instants where Mexican Army protecting drug smugglers have crossed the border and fired on Border Patrolmen. The prosecution of the three Border Patrolmen has come about from pressure from the Mexican Consulate. It's time to clean house in Washington D.C. Today Sen. Reid stated he was in favor of the amnesty and well as those on the other side of the political spectrum. It would be no problem for terrorist to cross the border. After 9-11 if you will recall, the Government stated that there are terrorist cells in America waiting for there orders.

Porous borders that could allow terrorists into the United States is a prime concern for Webb County Sheriff Rick Flores and his counterparts.
What worries Flores is people other than Mexicans coming across the border with dirty bombs or weapons of mass destruction.
"Mexico has already apprehended Iraqis in Mexico," Flores said.

FROM REP. JOHN CULBERSON'S GOVERNMENT WEBSITE:
...Texas Republican Congressman John Culberson has introduced legislation to help law enforcement officials identify and to detain people who are sneaking in the U.S. illegally. He says known terrorists have recently been apprehended at our borders. And he joins us now with the details.
REP. JOHN CULBERSON (R), TEXAS: Well, in fact the FBI director, Robert Mueller, first testified to our subcommittee in appropriations that the FBI has knowledge of individuals from countries with known Al Qaeda connections who have entered the United States leaving false Hispanic identities, pretending to be illegal immigrants and entering the country and disappearing.
CULBERSON: I then followed that lead to the river, went to Laredo, went to the Rio Grande River, saw firsthand the war on terror going on there. And the Hudspeth County sheriff, Arvin West, and the Brewster County, Ronnie Dodson, confirmed for me that they had an Al Qaeda terrorist, an Iraqi national who was on the FBI's terrorist list as an Al Qaeda member in the Brewster County jail. He had been apprehended by Mexican authorities, handed over by the Mexican authorities to the Hudspeth County sheriff, with whom the Mexican authorities had a good working relationship...

they just caught some "alleged"terrorists in Jersey i hear.
our borders are like sieves.
at least they caught them before any "alleged"harm was done.
if the administration was truly serious about "terror"they would level the mountains twixt pakistan and afghanistan(with bull-dozers),find bin laden, and get the Iraqi's to fend for themselves so we can get the "F"outta there.
then we could give our overly deserving troops some R & R along both of our borders chasing illegals trying to cross.
yes both borders.
remember the guy in Seattle trying to blow up the space needle....
i think he/they came in from Canada

Wait hold on. I was told we were fighting them there so we didn't have to here.. What are you telling me, this isn't true. They said the Patriot Act would stop the terrorists, please don't tell me I am that gullible.
