What is the most horrible sound you have heard?

I hate the sounds of flies or bees buzzing in my ears it is the most irritating noise!

The sound of the airbag inflating in our car. Horrible and frightening.

Yeah... mosquitoes buzzing near your ear is irritating... but I hate the sound vehicles make in an auto accident... the sound is disturbing and goes right to my bones... i hate that sound... even if I'm not in the crash, which I haven't been in as a driver since 1986. But I've seen a lot of fender-benders happen in front of me.

A old, rotten tree fell on a car with a woman and her 1yr old son in it. It happened across the street from my house. It was horrible. We were in the yard, we heard the woman scream for help for like 5 minutes. By the time that the ambulance and firetrucks got there to help her she was dead. Thank God her son lived!! But, I will remember her screams forever and it was the most horrible sound I've ever heard!

The sound of a car's tyres screeching against the tar in an effort to try and stop, before it came crashing through my bedroom window. I was about 9 and I will never forget that day, it was not just the sound that freaked me out, well not as much as the two guys that died...

I stepped on a snail with a <<>>> That was mighty horrible to my sensitive ears that are used to hearing the sound of cascading waterfall and flute music. Ha. only kiddding. But the snail part is right. Oh, and I heard a relatively large boy of the name Jimmy Lard fard as he bent down to pick the lollipop he dropped.

I am typing like a maniac right now, it's like someone put batteries in me and wound me up like that song of Gwen Stefani "Wind it Up"- now that was also a bad sound for my delicate ear drums. Right now I see a dark sky with stars twinkling like little pearls in the sky that I should pick up and throw at Gwen Stefani. Or maybe I should throw snails at her.
