I love writing and I've been looking up names for characters, and I immediately fell for Alastair.

Alastair was one of the names we considered for our son. It like it just fine.

I like it. I believe it to be British, but be prepared for name calling. Allister Crowley was a famous satanist and you know how cruel kids can be. Not to mention the Ozzy song "Mr. Crowley". Proceed with caution.

Alaistair is a classic British name, I like it a lot, though you should consider if your last name will go with it, or will it sound silly? (Eg Alaistair Smith just doesn't flow right.) My married name is German so we're deciding on names that "match". Hope that makes sense.
