I actually stopped to think about it once. If you think about it you can feel a difference in the air. Like there's less space between you and a person/object. Ever tried walking through your house in the middle of the night when it's pitch black. And you can feel a tiny air gap between you and another object sometimes. That happens to me all the time. I have gotten spooked before when I felt that and nobody was there! I don't know about electrical signatures though...

Supernatural response aside. I tend to try for the logical solution/answer before jumping in on any sixth sense stuff. The TV thing, is most likely you are hearing, unconsciously, the "white noise" generated by the television. Your body could also be picking up the minor static charge that some CRT TVs generate.
Detecting someone behind you is similiar in response. Often when I "detect" someone behind me, its because I am aware of changes around me. Such as the a current of air against my back stopping suddenly, or feeling someone's body heat generated. If they are nervous or excited, as if they were trying to sneak up on you, it could be their accelerated heart rate you may be hearing subconsciously.
A slightly supernatural angle: considering our brains thoughts are nothing but electrical discharges, a signal (which is an energy wave) could be felt in the brain. I've not read any studies to suggest such things, but I personally don't see how it couldn't be possible. Even if its the slight interuption of brain activity.

I always attribute things like this to our natural "sixth sense". We all have natural instincts, just like animals. I just think, as the "superior" race, we don't tune into it because of everything else dulling the senses we learned about in kindergarten.
I feel TV signals too. When I turn my TV off at night, I listen for the signal to go away to know when it's really off.

I can. I could tell if someone was gonna walk into the room before they did it, without hearing anything. And I get premonitions, such as odd dreams which happen the next day.
Whatever that 'sense' is called, I love it :)

physically, we humans operate on electricity, but we also use only 10 percent of our brain and out of the billions of sensory input that our brain intercepts, we can only process a fraction of it....i would say that our electrical energy is feeling the presence of other electrical energy without being consciously aware of it, or being able to send that information to our sensory organs
psychically, we have not proven that we even have a "seat of consciousness" meaning that our soul or spirit does not reside in any one particular place in our body, it exists on a level that we cannot detect and who is to say that that level does not include the ability to do the things you describe?

I have this. I can always tell when someone is staring at me. Some say its paranoia but i call it my 6th sense. Not being paranoid.
I use to be able to "feel" when someone was coming. I dont anymore. Or at least I dont really pay attention to it if it does even still happen to me.
i love it too

all of your senses are working.. even when your conscious mind isn't realizing it. a change in a shadow.. a new noise.. the silent hum of electricity.. we pick up on this info and our filters shift it out of our conscious into our subconscious.. or drop it all together.. .. but some info still leaks forward.. and before we realize it we know things we didn't think we knew.

I know what you mean. And you can feel someone looking at you only to look up and see that they are, and someone you just talked to for a few min, you know they like you when they havent said or done anything to make me think he wants anything more than a friendship... i cant explain it though.

Yes. I can feel it too, even if somebody is looking at me, I feel it. I think it is how much you are in connection with yourself. It's called six sense if you are female. Most of us have it.

Everyone is affected by electrical currents, just some are more in tune.
Guess you must be one of the turned on!
