Yup. I bother my elected representatives about all kinds of issues. :) They get to hear my opinions on everything. :) The cool thing is that they actually take the time to write back most of the time. :)

The problem can't be solved by taping into the national reserve. The problem is b/c a lot of refineries are off-line right now, most for maintenance, so production of gasoline from crude oil is down (almost 25% of capacity is down right now). Opening the national reserve of crude oil solves nothing, cause we wouldn't be able to refine the extra oil into gasoline.

Yep there was a reason to get the National Guard out to protect against vandalism after any hurricane.
This country has enjoyed one of the lowest prices for oil for decades. So get over it and deal with it.

My President is fighting a war on terror ; as well as a war on the war on terror by the liberal democrats in office ..the government can't solve every little problem in our lives ; nor do I want them running mine . I drive - so of course I buy gas . It goes up every summer . I think I'd rather the President focus his immediate attention on the terrorists who have promised to kill us ever since Bill & Hillary Clinton were in the Oval Office . They ignored bin Laden's threats..and look what happened .

jointly as i think of all have a hand in this (governemnt, oil agencies, gas agencies) it is likewise as much as the purchaser to take some accountability. meaning, end paying for the Hummer a million, 2, 3, and so on. and each and all of the gas guzzling autos that get 10 miles to the gallon, thereby increasing call for, thereby increasing the value of gas. human beings ought to learn how to downsize. Secondly, in case you opt to whine to the government, how approximately whining to them approximately making public transportation greater available to the regular public and offering federal funds to special cities to make suggested public transportation (trains, buses, bike paths) available. merely my 2 coppers.

Ya know, my parents are paying almost $8/gallon, whereas we're paying less than $3/gallon, so to be honest, I think you're just whining.
If you don't like it, just boycot them, ride your bike or something.
There are more important problems in this country that the politicians should be worrying about, like some pointless war...
