I was told by my property manager that the rental payment will be delivered between 15th and 20th of the month which is 45 days late already. The first month pay will be delivered the next month on the 15th. Is this legal?

This is my new manager. I replaced my former manager because is even worse than this one. To my ignorance, I did not notice in the contract that there is no clause when the rent payment is to be delivered to the owner. My rental properties are located in Fort Worth, TX and I am from California. I look in the internet if there is a law in TX that manager can delay the payment to the owner when tennants paid on time and found none.

Certainly it is legal, as long as the landlord/owner is in agreement with this practice with the property manager. I don't exactly know that it's a wise practice, but it is legal.

Our property manager mails us the rent on the 15th of each month, Howevwer they cash the tenants check and issue us a check from their account, and the rent is only late if the tenant dosent pay the property manager on time.........I'd check on that one a little closer..........seems not right to me!

If you're the owner, you should start looking for a new manager. Something sounds fishy.
