It depends a 6 cell last a short while mostly 2 hours or less. Try getting a 9 cell or more. The more bigger the battery is the longer it last.

There are some different options that you can get. There may be some extended life batteries for laptops or something like that. Also, you may want to look into extra batteries for your computer.

I just installed some for a bank, the Levano T60, upto 5.9hrs using a 9-cell battery, but in real life usage, I think they managed around 4 hrs, adding more memory will help battery life as this will eliminate a lot more disk swapping.

My daughter boughta Toshiba last June. The battery lasts about 1 1/2 hrs...maybe less. That isn't too good.

do NOT get a toshiba for battery life. they are great computers, dont get me wrong, but not for battery life. stick with a dell or apple
