Geforce is a standalone add-in graphics card. The intel controller is built-in to the motherboard. 64mb is probably not enough and the game "may" detect that it needs upgrading. You probably need a Directx 9c compatible graphics card.

Typically you can use ATI or GeForce (nVidia) cards that have at least 128mb ram, preferably 256mb. Check the minimum specs for the game in question and upgrade to the "recommended".

Ok, just telling us that the game is on a DVD does not tell us anything.

You should tell us the NAME of the game you are trying to play, that way we can actually figure out your problem.

From what you told us, the game you want to play requires at least a Geforce video card.

Since Nvidia has used the Geforce name for years, I can't tell you if your current Intel Graphics adapter will work.

If the game you want to play requires at least an original Geforce card, then the Intel chipset should be fine. But I can't say for sure without knowing what game you are trying to play.

Your Intel integrated graphics is good for 2D graphics but is slow in 3D and practically useless for current games. It does not have its own videoram and just shares from system RAM.

The Nvidia Geforce is just a series of discrete graphics cards that have faster graphics processor and its own onboard videoram. Most games require very complex 3D processing such that a fast graphics card w/ fast videoram is required. There are comparable discrete graphics card based on ATI graphics processor.

The Intel pictures Media Accelerator is your onboard pictures. quite much all motherboards contain an onboard chip for processing pictures. in case you like to place in a pictures card, you may wish a loose AGP/PCI/PCI convey fit on your motherboard, in keeping with what style of card you like. extra moderen enjoying cards will prefer a PCI convey x sixteen slot, and older enjoying cards prefer an AGP or PCI slot. Assuming you have a loose slot, however, definite you may installation a sparkling pictures card.

intel graphics controllers are built into your motherboard and comes standard with the machine.
64mb will not play most games nowadays i would recommened you to get 256mb for games and you diffentlly need it for vista if you upgrade in the future.
you might have a problem to install a seperate card in your machine as you already have a intel graphics controller built into motherboard and they will confilct with each other.
i had this problem if the first pc i bought years ok and never solved the problem. You will need to mess about with the jumpers i think but you will need to speak to someone who is very good with computers as its very technical to do.
good luck
