How do I make seperate playlists for me and my moms ipod

You create the playlist in Itunes. When you sync your pod you have the option of syncing the music automatically when it is plugged in... turn that off. This allows you to choose only the playlist you want to be updated.
This may not be the only way, or even the best one but it is how I seperate my daughter's music from mine. And keep my stuff off her pod.

Go to File, Create New Playlist. Name your playlist and add songs by dragging them to the playlist (which will appear on the left side of iTunes). Next, create a second Playlist, have your Mom name it and then she can drag songs she likes to her own playlist. When you update your iPod, both playlists will download. Then you can listen to your playlist when you have the iPod, and she can listen to her playlist when she's got it.
