I do defragmenting, verification of disk and cleaning regularly. Yet this recent trouble confuses me. Once Norton Anti Virus showed that my computer has more than 10,000 menaces and it is rectifying. But it took more than a day. So I disconnected before it finishes the work. From that day onwards I face this trouble. I think downloaded video files also may be the reason for this trouble. Nowadays if I download a video file from a site, computer sticks up. What is the way to rectify this?

You need to update Norton, run a full scan and let it finish it no matter how long it takes. 10,000 menaces is above and beyond being completely irresponsible and you should be running Norton as Auto-Protect so maybe it can protect you from yourself. You are lucky your computer even runs and since most viruses have been programmed to trigger on certain dates there is no telling when yours will actually bite the dust. I am not even sure that Norton will be able to save you at this point you should be considering a complete format and reinstall and some safe Internet using classes. And quit downloading porn! Sorry!

best thing to do is backup everything you need and re-format you hard drive. This may sound extreme but if you have over 10,000 menaces then this will be the only and quickest way to get rid of them and make sure they are gone. Just remember you will louse everything on you're PC when you do this
