Seeing as Hillary didn't scale Everest until 6 years after Hillary Clinton was born, that would be pretty funny if she made that claim. Until 1953 Sir Edmund was a bookeeper and I don't think many people knew who he was.

Hey why pick on poor Hillary, didn't Obama say his parents conceived him at the selma march, which means he was born four year later than on his birth certificate and his parents didn't march in the march. Clinton was born in 1947..
Hillary climbed Everest in 1953....
so it's pretty doubtful that she was named for him.

She did make that claim until it was found that Edmond made that climb in 1953 Clinton was born in 1947.

She said it but was later proven not to be the case. Without a doubt there is evidence listed on the Internet. I remember reading it either in the Washington Post or Times.
