I can count backwards from100 really easy and so can a lot of people, but it is really hard to say the alphabet backwards..

The alphabet is only 26 letters long so you would think that it would be easy to say backwards, but i can only do it a little bit.

Because there is a pattern with the numbers...every time you hit a new number in the 10's, you start backward from 9 again.

Technically, you're only repeating ten digits worth of stuff from memory.

There is no similar pattern in the alphabet, so you have to memorize all 26 characters.

Everyone around the world deals with the same numbers, but not everyone has the same alphabet. So therefore, it's in our ancestry to know how to learn numbers quicker than we would numbers. The human brain understands numbers better it's a technical thing, letters are various and often misused, while numbers stay the same.

Oh it can be done to count alpabet backward but one will need lots of pratice. Otherwise it cause for lots of concentration than numbers as we use numbers daily all kinds of ways but not in words. Alphabets used in words and not one on one like numbers cannot be remembered like a numbering factor.
