Politics and religion are two subjects that get people excited and usualy breaks down into primal emotions.......

Thank God we live in a country that respects differing opions enough not to break down into violent behavior for the most part. Look to France for an example where it gets out of hand on a regular basis.

I would say yes. this is a forum for opinion and it is easy to respect that but at points it degrades into little more then useless slander to attack someone with an opposing views and little to no fact, but sometimes there are diamonds(informed people that give you facts and thought out ideas) in the coal

Only those who try to reduce themselves to name calling, and insulting. Anyone who is to uninformed to carry on an honest debate is frustrating. If someone is trying to express an intelligent and researched opinion, whether I agree or not is fine, I think that it was what this was designed for.

Having a different opinion on something other than my opinion doesn't bother me. We are all different and have had different life experiences to shape our priorities and beliefs. But when people make statements with no merit, say the other side is unpatriotic, or say something dumb, I have a really hard time accepting it. So yes, sometimes they do.

Some can...most give me a good chuckle-- it would be pretty sad to get all worked up over typing on your computer screen. However some people worry me in that in some small way they represent a demographic that is very real...creepy.

Yahoo took away the message boards so that certain abusive individuals could not dominate the posts.

To no end. Either you are a fascist Republican or a crazy Democrat. No middle ground and no compromise. Funny how most of the answers all come from talking points from the respective camps. I feel your pain.
