Only up to a certain point. If the demographic becomes to big then we risk Islamic law if we are not careful to protect the Constitution as rigorously as we do now with Christian belief.

No.
islam explicitly intertwines politics, civil and religious aspects.
So a society that is increasing in muslim population will have a tension between the muslims - who self-isolate and attempt to be islamic in all aspects of life - and the rest of society, which can distinguish between religious acts and political acts.
also, especially in the US, islamic pressure groups claim that every behavior is a religious act - hence, the pressure to allow women to wear burqas for ID cards, and the foot washing basins in the KC airport. Also, the call for the prayer-yeller in Detroit.
Oh, and EVERYTHING is an "insult to islam" so cartoons, movies, etc., become increasingly censored, so as not to "offend" islam. Which is funny, since muslim apologists go to great lengths to say that the terrorists do NOT represent islam, but somehow an act or a drawing can offend ALL muslims.

Muslim describes devotees of the religion of Islam. Religion has a strong, even defining effect on most adherents. You cannot expect a society that - be it through immigration or conversion - shifts from one religion to another to remain otherwise unchanged.
However, a society like the US, one based upon a constitution and the rule of law, with articles in place to protect the rights of minorities, guarantee freedom of religion, and maintain sepparation of church and state should be able to endure such demographic shifts with much of it's political and civil character intact.

Probably not because Muslims have their own system of law that they impose on their people.
Read "While Europe Slept" by Bruce Bawer and you'll get an idea of what's happened in Europe.

You'll have to explain what civil character is. If it's just political character you're talking about, it could happen in an absolute monarchy.

No. Look at Europe and that'll give you an idea about what the U.S. will become if it is not careful.
