My ex and I broke up years ago. we were teenagers. now I'm 29 and can't stop thinking about him. I have tried contacting him (he lives in another state) without success. I don't know what this means. What provoked this was me dreaming about him. I dreamt that I ran into him at a bus station (greyhound e.g.). I never take the bus. In the dream, I walked past him and turned around and called his name. He seemed down and never spoke but kept looking down at his hands. Ever since this, I cannot stop thinking about him. Is there any meaning to this??? I have a husband and two children.

Sometimes when things aren't going so great we remember times where things were going well for us.
If you are having some sort of stress in your relationship at the moment, it could be just that. If not, perhaps you are just feeling melancholy of things past. Nothing wrong with going down memory lane as long as you do not become obsessed with it. I also notice you mentioned you are 29... sometimes (and I am not saying this happened to everyone) people start assessing their lives before or when turning 30. And perhaps there was something about that relationship you feel could have been more or just did not end quite right.

Just remember that you most likely have a loving family, children that are probably your everything... and a husband that I hope is most loving.

On another note... sometimes when I start thinking of people from the past out of the blue and I can't stop thinking about it... something huge happens in their lives... it is as if a signal letting you know that they are still around. Makes me feel connected to them when I found out news about them and I just happened to b thinking about them no too long ago. =)

I think you are just looking for closure on a relationship that once meant the world to you... that's all.. I've needed that myself in the past. try myspace.. almost everyone on the world is on it.. but don't let the past overwhelm you.. it is the past .. remember the life you have now.

P.S. I would talk to your husband about this.. it may confuse and hurt him a little.. but assure him it's nothing.. it's a lot better this way than for him to happen upon you trying to find an x behind his back.
