ignore them and smile if you need to be friendly, I would keep mostly to myself. just be polite. You dont HAVE to be IN their "society"... Plus, If they are as you describe nothing you do will work. They most likely talk **** about you behind your back too. F them. They are miserable women that need to put others down to feel connected to something... sad really.

Why would you want to? These are all negative attributes which no one should ever strive for. Are you OK with who you are? That is what is important. Go in a different direction be nice, helpful, do your work and stay out of her way. Every once in a while take in some chocolate chip cookies, a box of candy, have a jar of mints on your desk and share who you really are, not what you are.

Politics, unfortunately, are a part of any culture -- even the office culture. Learn the politics that are involved and then make your decisions of what you will and won't do.

Your career could easily end if you don't understand the power structure.
