These 'officials' are liberals with too much time and money (but not enough they still won't try to take ours). Don't pity the zealots who buy into this, pity the infidels (like us) who don't. pity our children and our grandchildren who will grow up in this Eco terrorist dystopia. Pity our country. pity the poor in developing countries who always lose out no matter what.

This issue is one of the liberal environmental stands and should not be made political. McCarthy, Al Gore, plus many people are interested in the future. It is played out to be a dooms day issue but there is still time to react. With the apathy of most people when it comes to politics maybe this is the only way to get a positive reaction in time. It would seem we always wait till the last second to make a move. In hind sight the only time we stepped out to preemptive action we got it wrong. For one thing I am sick of all the billion dollar studies that do nothing. Some action in this direction would be good even if it is all premature. I would like to make my world a better place. I'm not nuts about changing my life but it could be a good thing to do.

Yeah, I feel so sorry for all those Nobel Prize winners that think its real - they must be really unintelligent.

I don't base my scientific beliefs on what Hollywood says - I prefer to get my climatology from scientists - like the ones that use the most powerful supercomputers ever built to do the computer modeling for this. BTW: John "Hollywood" McCain says that global warming is real - darn "liberals" - LMAO!

Nancy wants to get in touch with the people, something Bush NEVER has wanted to do.
Giuliani, McCain, Romney, and Thompson have already asked questions on Y!A, so why attack Nancy over this??

Well its all about publicity and getting elected. Mitt did it too as I recall. Who wouldn't take the chance to look like a hero crusading for issues.

Yeah. All those glamorous scientists driving around in their sports cars just make me sick. What do they know? They've just been applying rigorous scientific method to understand the phenomena their entire lives! I can't believe anyone would believe the mountains and mountains of incontrovertible data!

My guess is that they invited many celebrities and politicians to ask questions here, and only some responded. Pelosi's question is simple and straightforward. The propaganda is in Your question.
