Because Giambi hasn't LIED about it like Bonds has. Bonds doesn't care about the fans, only himself. Why do people keep forgetting that the man Bonds is chasing IS ALSO BLACK!!!!!!!!!!!!! When in doubt, play the race card, right?

First of all, no sport is racist to any ethnicity. Second, most people aren't fans of Bonds because he's black, it's because for years he's acted like a fool and steroids is just the most recent issue with him. He's been known his entire life as a selfish, arrogant baby who can't get along with anybody. And now with his obvious steroid use and pursuit on the greatest sports record, people are disgusted that he has been allowed to even play baseball. Hank Aaron was a great player and a greater person, and to have his record broken by someone like Bonds is a disgrace. Nobody but the fans gives Bonds a hard time. If "baseball" or the MLB were really out to get Bonds, they would have done something by now. He's gotten the same treatment that Giambi has... the "turn and look the other way" treatment while roid-heads ruin the game. Giambi hasn't done anything great either. His admission is so full of gray areas that he looks like an idiot for even opening his mouth.

How can you ask such an immature question? Barry Bonds, a black man is trying to beat Hank Aaron (A black man) for a home run record. And someone has to say baseball is rasist just because Barry is not admiting he took steroids, when Giambi admitted to. The Yankees, if prooven that Giambi took roids, will be voided his contract. The Giants have tried to do no such thing.
Back to the record, is Giambi even close to the record... hmm. NOPE! When Aaron was trying to break the record there were some rasist people in that case because Ruth is white! Now a black man tries to break a black mans record, I don't see the rasicim there!
Giambi is not treated the same way as Bonds because Giambi admitted using roids. Barry will not admit it because he doesn't want his chance of breaking the record to be jeopardised.
And we all know the media. They like to find a small story to make into a big deal so everyone is talking about it. One reporter said Bonds uses steroids, they all do, then the whole world is buzzing about Bonds' "steroid issue".
Personally I don't think he took steroids and I'm white! I'm supporting Bonds as much as anyone now. And yet someone had to ask a question thinking baseball is racist. Baseball is not racist, Giambi is being dealt with, end of story!

let me tell u that ur point of view of wrong...there is a huge lack of interest in kids to play baseball...is not that blacks are pushed away from the sport is the fact that it takes for an average big leaguer 4 to 5 years to develope and make the big bucks.
and it doesn't help either that they get millionare contracts as young as 17 to play in the NBA...or go to the NFL at age 20.
i won't deny that there is hate against blacks...you will find racist people in every sport u can imagine...just last year Eto' an african soccer player from the barcelona team heard racist chants and remarks in spain...and he decided not to play until the league did something about it.
so there is hate but i don't think that is the main reason why giambi get better treatment than bonds...bonds has never been a "lovable" player...and he doesn't like the media..and if you are an asshole to the media they will be on top of u and the media will have a field day with bonds...and with good reason.
and last thing...bonds is about to break one of the all time unbreakable records..the homerun record..now do you think is fair for someone to acomplish such a thing after is very well known that he cheated?...is very wrong that giambi has done the same crap and still playing..only difference is that giambi is light years away from bonds in the stats department...
i think that's a disgrace to sports in general...what kind of a role model can they be?..what would a future athlete would think?..."if bonds did it..why can't i".

Baseball has the worst racial history in all pro sports, save for possibly golf.
In the late 1800's and early 1900's black players played; it was only a petition brought forth from Cap Anson and signed by Ty Cobb that had black players kicked out. They let them play the season if they wanted and those two assholes gave Fleet Walker **** for deciding to play out the year when no other black player would. And those two fags are in the Hall of Fame.
Read Fleet's book, and tell me baseball isn't racist. The parallels are still there today. How many black starters are in the majors today? You don't think generations of African-Americans have been systematically keeping their children away from a very racist pastime?
This is the biggest problem with baseball, not steroids.

Baseball is a port, and it's not racist. They are being harder on one player instead of another not because of his race, but because of what he has done. Giambi was man enough to admit it while Bonds is cowering in a corner surrouned by the media. Personally I dislike Giambi and Bonds but if Bonds were to have come out and admittied it a few years age I'm sure they wouldn't have been as hard on him. Trust me, this has nothing to do with race,it has to do with moral values.

First of all, Jamal, don't look now, but the Yankees are talking about terminating his contract. Secondly, I don't know where you live, but until recently, I lived in NJ. Sports fans in the NY/NJ area were regularly giving Giambi hell when they suspected-and it turns out, rightly so-that his physical troubles after coming over to NY from Oakland were steroid related. Bonds is approaching one of the most highly esteemed records in all of baseball, the all time HR record-held by a black man, Hank Aaron. Most fans don't want to see Bonds break Aarons record if they believe that he cheated in order to do it. If whites in baseball were so racist, then why would they give a damn if one black guy were breaking another black guys record? That doesn't make any sense.

First off your comment is completely false. Did you hear that if Giambi is found to have taken steroids that the Yankees will void his contract. I don't recall anyone threatening Bonds with that. Second. Is Giambi chasing the most historic record in all of sports? The answer is no, he is just a run of the mill MLB player. Bonds deserves all the negative press, I don't care if he's green. people don't want a cheater breaking Aaron's record. And guess what, Aaron is black! Get the facts, and quit crying racism everytime something goes against black atheletes. MLB rode Mark McGwire out of town on a rail, I didn't hear any white people crying racism on that one. Get a life.

Last time I checked, Giambi is not close to breaking the all-time home run record, but Bonds is. The truth of the matter, both should be banned from baseball.

It's not about race, it's about Bonds being a d!ck hole. I like how it's always black people pulling out the boo hoo woe is me race card. "Bonds is treated poorly because he's black, there's not enough black people in baseball." Blah blah blah. You don't hear any of the b!tching from Asians or Latinos or Jews or Muslims or anyone else. Here's an interesting thought: when was the last time a baseball player was in the news for charges for weapons, assault, battery, robbery, etc? I mean it's common place for the NBA and the NFL. Maybe it's because those sports are predominately black? I'm not racist, or even caucasian, but simply an observer of the tendencies.
